‘Safety’ Tips from Gun Prohibitionists Have Hidden Agenda

The bottom line, the gun-grabbers demand government edicts to lock up your safety, taking the decision away from you. And to lock your ammunition up separately. That way, should you ever need to access your gun to defend against an intruder, no doubt he will be impressed with how thorough you are about mandatory “safety.” The problem, of course, is that it adds a couple of time-consuming steps that would make Joe Biden’s recommendations to either fire your shotgun blindly off the balcony or through your front door problematic.

Biden's Gun Control Plan Would Cost Gun Owners $34 Billion In Taxes

Under Joe Biden’s proposed gun control plan, American gun owners would cough up tens of billions dollars in taxes as millions of rifles and magazines now in their possession would be subject to a tax under the National Firearms Act.

The center piece of Biden’s gun plan is to place a ban on the manufacture and sale of “assault weapons,” while bringing the regulation of possession of such firearms under the 1934 National Firearms Act.

Currently, the NFA of 1934 applies to fully automatics firearms, silencers and short-barreled rifles. But Biden would drag “assault weapons”, meaning semiautomatic rifles, pistols and shotguns (think the AR-15) along with “high capacity magazines”, which have generally been understood to be magazines that carry more than 10 rounds, under the act.

Police Department Stops Accepting Firearm Permit Applications Due To COVID-19

The Nantucket Police Department in Massachusetts announced Wednesday that its officers would indefinitely halt new weapons permit applications due to heightened risk of coronavirus spread.

The department initially announced the decision on Twitter, writing that all fingerprint services were to be suspended, but the post was removed shortly after. The law enforcement body said the reason for its decision was that the employees who fielded the applications expressed “concern that they could not safely do their jobs,” according to a press release.

Google Searches For 'Reloading Ammo' Explode Amid Nationwide Shortage

Americans are panic searching again. This time it's not where to buy toilet paper online, but instead learning more about reloading ammunition as the virus pandemic and social unrest has sparked shortages of ammo and guns.

Ever since the first round of virus lockdowns that began in March, ammunition prices have surged because of unprecedented demand. Some of the hardest bullets to find this past summer, that is, if one wanted to purchase bulk, as we noted in April and August (see: here & here), was 9mm.

And, of course, a shortage and skyrocketing costs for factory-loaded ammunition forced many Americans to investigate alternative options in panic hoarding bullets.

As shown below, an eruption in US internet searches for "9mm Reloading" can be seen.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), founded in 1961, reported Monday there are an estimated 434 million firearms in private possession in the United States of America.

Firearms purchases have strongly surged in the past year, mostly because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but also because of political uncertainties, like the possibility of a very liberal incoming administration.

Another Poll Shows Gun Control Misread American Resolve

If polls are to be trusted any longer, there’s one out from Gallup that shows gun control zealots aren’t paying attention to America’s growing distaste for gun control. -- Americans want less gun control laws now than they did in 2016 when Hillary Clinton campaigned and lost on a platform of enacting bans on modern sporting rifles and clamping down on Second Amendment rights. American support for stricter gun control laws slipped seven percent in just one year while firearm sales are breaking records and rioting and looting is wreaking havoc in American cities as gun control politicians called for, and actually did, defund the police. Forty-three percent of Americans want fewer gun control laws or for them to remain the same, according to the poll.

Election Uncertainty Prompts Surge in Gun Sales

Fear of a Biden-Harris administration drove Americans to purchase a record number of guns and ammunition in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election. And with the election results still uncertain, gun purchases will continue to soar, the Daily Wire reports.

The presidential election is just the latest factor to contribute to a spike in gun sales this year. The COVID-19 pandemic and associated government lockdowns and shortages resulted in an unprecedented growth in firearms ownership in the United States, Ammo.com reports, with two million guns sold in the month of March 2020 alone. An additional three million were sold between March and July.

Data shows the election has also had a significant impact on gun sales. FBI figures reveal more than 3.3 million background checks for gun sales were conducted in October. This marks a 14-percent increase from the prior month, and a 38-percent increase from one year ago.

Gun Store Sells 80,000 Rounds Of Ammo In 30 Minutes After Opening

A gun store chain has reported that it sold more than 80,000 rounds of ammo in just the first half hour after opening.

The Northwest Indiana Times reported that Blythe’s Sport Shops, which had locations in Valparaiso and Griffith, Indiana, had a shipment of 80,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition come in on election day. It was reportedly gone in just 30 minutes.

The store’s chief operating officer, Kyle Goranson, told the local outlet that the ammo, which is widely used in semi-automatic pistols like the Glock 17, Springfield XD, and Beretta 92, has not been the only type that has been hard to find. Shotgun slugs, used for hunting big game, also have been hard to find.

Goranson noted that many people had become first-time gun buyers during the pandemic this spring and the civil unrest over the summer, according to the Times.

Michigan Gun Stores Cleaned Out Over Fears About Election Unrest

Gun stores in Michigan are being “cleaned out” by people buying firearms for the first time over fears that there could be massive civil unrest following tomorrow’s presidential election.

Detroit gun shop owner Bill Kucyk told Sky News that his store was being inundated by people who don’t really know how to purchase or handle weapons but are desperate to acquire them.

“They don’t even know the process,” said Kucyk. “They just want to buy guns – and I’m getting about a hundred calls a day about it,” he added.

Kucyk said he was struggling to keep up with demand as people clamor to stock up on guns before what many fear could be weeks of intense rioting should the election result be contested.

“Normally I’d have about a hundred guns in this cabinet but they’ve been sold twice over. The store has been cleaned out several times,” he commented.

New York’s anti-gun attorney general plans to use NRA’s assets as a slush fund for “Black Lives Matter”

There’s no doubt that the Marxist attorney general in New York, Letitia Jones, hates the Second Amendment — because all Marxist-Leninists do: Armed people stand in the way of Communist revolution.

We’ve seen it time and again throughout the 20th and 21st centuries: Revolutionaries encourage their followers to help them achieve their political objectives by the gun, then turn around and deprive many of those same supporters of their right to keep their firearms for self-protection against the same government they helped put in power.

Jones demonstrated her anti-gun animus earlier this month when she announced that her office has filed suit to dissolve the National Rifle Association’s charter (which has remained in New York for some reason), vowing to break up the 150-year-old organization and then bar its top officials — including Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre — from ever serving on a New York-based non-profit again.

Biden-Harris Team Wants to Repeal Protective Laws, Destroy Gun Industry

Biden attacks the industry that produces firearms for the U.S. military, federal, state, and local police agencies. It’s the same industry that more than 15.4 million people turned to in order to obtain firearms this year to protect themselves and their families. Nearly 6.2 million have done so for the first time in 2020. Under a Biden administration, the industry that provides the means for tens of millions of law-abiding Americans to exercise their Second Amendment rights to protect themselves and their loved ones would be at risk.

Joe Biden’s Gun Agenda Could Cost AR-15 Owners $3.6 Billion in Taxes for Guns They Already Own

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s proposed gun control policy includes a provision that could require every AR-15 rifle be registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Unless there were some form of carve-out, this could mandate that American gun owners pay a $200 federal tax per AR-15 that they own. The National Rifle Association’s Andrew Arulanandam told Breitbart News that the current “low end” estimate of privately-owned AR-15s in the United States is 18 million. A tax of $200 on 18 million AR-15s means that gun owners could potentially be required to a pay a collective $3.6 billion in taxes, if this policy were enacted into legislation.

That figure does not even consider other guns that might be deemed “assault weapons” by Democrats, which could also fall under the same provisions of the National Firearms Act.

This restriction is supported by Congress, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and law enforcement groups such as the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) because it secures sensitive tracing information which would jeopardize on-going criminal investigations and put the lives of law enforcement officers, cooperating retailers, and witnesses at risk.

Biden declared that he is the Democratic party. Ok – fair enough: here’s their plan to ban a variety of guns.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the captain now.

“The party is me,” Biden said during the presidential debate. “Right now, I am the Democratic Party. I am the Democratic Party right now.”

The debate didn’t touch on gun control. Amidst the arguing and speaking over one another, the candidates touched on Supreme Court nominees, law enforcement, riots and looting. The topic of gun rights or gun control wasn’t addressed.

The former vice president, though, told the American public exactly where he is on gun control when he uttered that phrase. He wants more of it. Lots more.

The Democratic Party adopted the Biden-Harris platform at their convention earlier this year that laid out their plans to enact unprecedented gun control. It’s a ban plan, an elimination plan and watchlist plan that will strip law-abiding Americans of their God-given rights and do nothing to address crime reduction.

Biden-Harris Ticket Still Refusing to Answer on Packing the Supreme Court — VIDEO

She believes the law is what it reads and that it’s not a Supreme Court justice’s duty to twist and bend the letters of the law to meet a predetermined end. -- That’s an obstacle to pushing through their radical gun control agenda, which includes invalidating the Second Amendment, confiscating lawfully-owned semiautomatic firearms, stopping the online sale of replacement parts, repealing the bipartisan Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act to then bankrupt the firearm industry through harassing, frivolous lawsuits and revoking federal firearm licenses for a single clerical paperwork error.

Britain, France, and Germany Spurn US Plan for Iran Sanctions

Trump Administration officials have been saying this for weeks, but on Friday reiterated their intentions to try to enforce a UN Security Council resolution that includes broad sanctions against Iran. Officials say they expect every nation to comply.

The glaring problem with this is that the resolution doesn’t exist, at least not as an active resolution the US wants. The P5+1 nuclear deal gave the US the authority to reimpose sanctions on Iran, but the US had withdrawn from that pact years ago. Though the Trump Administration argued that didn’t matter, the UN has virtually unanimously rejected their interpretation, and rejected the UN Security Council resolution. The US believes the resolution becomes active Sunday, but the reality is it just doesn’t exist legally.

These actions spell desperation on the cusp of madness, and the world is not following suit; so, what is next here, an invasion of Iran?!?

Considering just how "brilliantly" the other US occupations around the world are going, you might imagine it might just be time for a "re-think" on this; but of course, Israel's Bibi Netanyahu will not allow that to happen; he wants the US waging war against Iran, so Israel will not have to.

Gun Controllers Try to Hide Joe Biden’s Anti-gun Extremism

NRA members and other gun rights advocates are likely already aware of Biden and Harris’s radical plans for the Second Amendment and no amount of deception from gun control advocates or the press will divert them from the truth. However, Second Amendment advocates should work to inform more casual political observers of the singular danger the 2020 Democratic presidential ticket poses to their rights. Knowledgeable gun owners have a responsibility to ensure their family, friends, and other liberty-minded individuals do not succumb to Rosenthal and others’ flagrant misinformation.

Anti-Gun Violence Research Consortium Admits Problems Not The Gun, But The Individual

In retrospect, two years since this historic and highly organized group came together, using lies and deception in their talking points, as well as their own positions of power  – grossly ignoring their own findings – we have more gun control laws, and no attention placed on what we really need, mental health reform, with real help – not sound bite politics.

Below the Radar: Jaime’s Law

While we place a lot of the focus on defending against laws that target firearms, anti-Second Amendment extremists also target ammunition. In a way, this ammunition control can be worse – because those who exercise their Second Amendment rights need to purchase ammunition.

New York’s Gun Control Utopia is a Living Hell

Instead of police, security, and rights, New Yorkers in Mayor de Blasio’s gun control utopia have only one thing – criminals freely running the streets.

Anti-gun Politicians Seek to Tax Your 2nd Amendment Rights Into Oblivion

In 1819, Chief Justice John Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court famously wrote:  “the power to tax involves the power to destroy ….” -- This truism has not been lost on firearm prohibitionists, who when unable to ban guns outright have often tried to tax them out of reach of the average citizen.

Another Record of NICS Checks and Gun Sales for August 2020

A great many gun owners have been complacent. In 2020, with the numerous riots, the push to defund the police, the attempt to delegitimize the police, and the Supreme Court refusing to hear Second Amendment cases, it is harder to ignore the utility of firearms ownership and the threats to the Republic.

Former Senator Says ‘Women Sick of All These Guns.’ Women Say Otherwise

Former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) was replaced by voters in 2018 and is now a political talk show pundit. During a discussion about the violence erupting in America’s communities, including Kenosha, Wisconsin, Portland, Oregon, and her home-state St. Louis, Missouri, Sen. McCaskill opined women are “sick of all these guns.” Data shows she couldn’t be more mistaken.

As Kenosha and Minneapolis Burn, Millions of Americans Buy Guns

It’s increasingly clear to even the average American that if riots come to your neighborhood, you’re on your own. The message received is increasingly be this: if your plan is to wait until the police show up to provide “protection,” be prepared to wait a long time. Consequently, as violence appears to surge in America’s cities, millions of Americans have become first-time gun owners.

As Kenosha & Minneapolis Burn, Millions Of Americans Buy Guns

Authored by Ryan McMaken via The Mises Institute,

It’s increasingly clear to even the average American that if riots come to your neighborhood, you’re on your own. The message received is increasingly be this:

if your plan is to wait until the police show up to provide "protection," be prepared to wait a long time.

Consequently, as violence appears to surge in America's cities, millions of Americans have become first-time gun owners.

Government Officials Aren't Keeping Us "Safe"
There are two trends at work which are making Americans doubt government law enforcement is reliable and effective.

On the one hand, the public is witnessing nightly displays of looting, rioting, and general civil unrest.

At the same time, many police officers don't appear particularly able or willing to defend the public against looters and rioters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at what is going in in major US metropolitan areas, can you blame first-time gun owners for doing what they are doing?!?

I sure as heck cannot!!

Defending yourself against BLM and Antifa terrorism makes you a villain, according to the mainstream media

This has pretty much become the M.O. of the mainstream media in the age of “elevating black voices.” No matter what the BLM and Antifa mobs do, whether it involves destruction or violence, it is justified as demonstration of “protest.” And no matter what those being targeted do to try to defend themselves, it is dubbed as “aggression” and “racism.” -- The media, in other words, is complicit in the violent destruction of America at the hands of BLM and Antifa, glorifying its members as “heroes” while decrying patriots as “part of the problem.” Pay close attention to how the narratives are written and see for yourself the way that self-defense is quickly becoming an act of “terrorism” in the eyes of the far-left corporate media.

Political Elite Value Their Own Safety, NOT YOURS

Through their actions, these politicians have made clear that they are willing to sacrifice the safety of their constituents, but are unwilling to compromise their personal safety in the process. Such a flagrant breach of the social contract forfeits whatever perceived moral authority they may have claimed in order to control how their constituents provide for their own defense.
