YEMENI HOUTHIS VOW TO FIGHT ISRAELI PLOTS AS NETANYAHU SIGNS HISTORIC DEAL WITH UAE, BAHRAIN

The Ansar Allah movement (also known as the Houthis) continues pounding Saudi Arabia with drones and missiles.

Late on September 17, the Yemeni Air Force loyal to the Houthi government struck Abha International Airport in the Saudi province of Asir with Samad 3 combat drones, which can be used as loitering munitions. The Houthis claimed that the strike hit a military section of the airport causing material damage and casualties among Saudi forces.

The military infrastructure in the Abha airport area and southern Saudi Arabia itself has regularly become a target of Houthi missile and drone strikes. Just during the past month, Abha International Airport was targeted by at least 4 drone and missile strikes. The Saudi capital of Riyadh and oil infrastructure in the central part of the Kingdom are also not out of danger. The Houthis demonstrated this several times during the past few years. The most recent strike on Riyadh took place just a few days ago.

Islamic 'Holy-War' Brewing: Iran Threatens Arab States, Says US Did This To World

Iranian President Hassan Rohani threatened the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on Wednesday for having signed agreements to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. Specifically, he warned that "they will be responsible for the consequences" of the decision.

How could they have reached out to Israel? And then they want to give them bases in the region? You will be responsible for all the serious consequences, ”Rohani declared in a televised speech.

The president of the Persian regime, who did not directly name the two countries, made these statements in the council of ministers after the signing of the agreements, which took place last Tuesday in Washington, given the role of mediator that the United States played in the negotiations

Trump Says He Would Sell Other Gulf Countries Same Advanced Weapons Given To Israel

In an interview ahead of the signing ceremony for the normalization agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, Trump said he would be willing to sell other countries in the Middle East "the same advanced weapons" the US sells to Israel.

“They’re very wealthy countries for the most part,” Trump told Fox News. Trump also mentioned the UAE’s desire for US-made F-35s and said he would “personally not have a problem” with the UAE acquiring the warplanes.

Iran warns the UAE and Bahrain they will bear 'severe consequences' after they signed an historic peace deal with arch-foe Israel

Iran has warned the UAE and Bahrain they will be responsible for 'severe consequences' caused by the signing of an historic peace deal with Israel.

Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian President, blasted leaders of the two Arab states over the deal and accused them of forgetting 'their debt to the Palestinian people'.

'How could you reach out your hands to Israel? And then you want to give them bases in the region? All the severe consequences that would arise from this are on you,' he said in televised remarks.

UAE official says U.S. mediation an assurance suspension of annexations will hold

The United Arab Emirates’ foreign minister said on Tuesday that the presence of the United States as a mediator of the country’s deal to normalise relations with Israel assures him that the suspension of further annexation of Palestinian lands will hold.

Minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash also said it was not the time to revise the Arab Peace initiative, and that it remains the cornerstone of the UAE’s commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Protests and rockets as Gulf states sign deals with Israel

At a White House ceremony on Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain officially established diplomatic relations with Israel.

The signing of the US-brokered Abraham Accords formalizes decades of clandestine relations between Israel and the two Gulf states.

US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Emirati foreign minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani all spoke before the signing.

Al Nahyan and Alzayani also signed separate treaties with Trump and Netanyahu.

Bahrain’s was termed a “declaration of peace,” while the UAE’s a “treaty of peace.”

The four leaders signed copies of the documents in English, Arabic and Hebrew.

As Israelis prepare to enter a three-week lockdown to block the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, around 700 people attended Tuesday’s ceremony at the White House where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain established official diplomatic relations.

Before the ceremony, Netanyahu met at the White House with US President Donald Trump, who mediated the relations breakthrough, according to an Israeli official who interviewed reporters staying at the premier in Washington.

The Ministers of the UAE and Bahrain, Abudullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, represented their countries at the signing ceremony.

On Monday, Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned the following day’s ceremony at the White House, calling it “a dark day in the history of the Arab nation and of the Arab League.”

Indeed, it is a dark day for the world as it faces one of its greatest challenges in the Covid-19 pandemic.

SAUDI AIR FORCE IS LEVELING YEMENI CAPITAL TO GROUND IN RESPONSE TO HOUTHI STRIKES ON RIYADH

The Saudi-led coalition has been bombing Yemen with a renewed energy following the recent missile and drone strikes on the Kingdom’s capital by the Ansar Allah movement (also known as the Houthis).

According to pro-Houthi sources, Saudi warplanes conducted over 60 airstrikes on different targets across the country during the past few days. They insist that the most of the targets that were hit were objects of civilian infrastructure. At the same time, Riyadh claims that it has been precisely bombing Houthi military positions.

US Officials Fear Arrest Over Saudi War Crimes in Yemen

State Department has come under fire for facilitating arms sales to the Saudis and suppressing evidence of legal issues raised by Yemen war.

A report from The New York Times revealed that some US officials are concerned that their role in facilitating arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, while ignoring the harm to civilians each country has caused in Yemen, could lead to their arrest overseas for war crimes. A Congressional hearing over these arms sales is set to take place on Wednesday.

The report said that officials from both the Obama administration and the Trump administration have considered hiring lawyers to discuss the possibility of being arrested while vacationing overseas.

The Times report reads: “No episode in recent American history compares to Yemen, legal scholars say, where the United States has provided material support over five years for actions that have caused the continuous killing of civilians.”

Saudis Launch Airstrikes Against Yemeni Capital of Sanaa

Saudi warplanes carried out at least 11 airstrikes against the Yemeni capital city of Sanaa, according to the Shi’ite Houthi movement. Strikes hit across the city, but the main target appeared to be the Sanaa airport.

There is as of yet no word on how much damage was caused, and no reports from either side mentioned casualties. It would be unusual for there not to be casualties in such a large city, but the airport has been closed by a fuel shortage for weeks anyhow.

The Saudis did not announce any specific goals for the attacks, but media reports attributed them to a recent increase in Houthi strikes on Saudi targets. The Houthis have claimed such strikes, though reports have not backed up many of them, and there seems to have been little hit in Saudi Arabia recently.

Saudi Arabia and America Are Responsible for the ‘Houthi Threat’ in Yemen

America’s post-9/11 wars have had disastrous consequences. They have been a geopolitical bust, fragmenting rather than eliminating terrorist groups, enhancing Iran’s influence, and destabilizing the Middle East. The humanitarian consequences have been even worse: thousands of Americans killed, tens of thousands wounded, hundreds of thousands of civilians killed, millions of people displaced, al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Islamic State loosed, and entire nations ravaged.

Israel-UAE deal: The two-(police)-state solution

In 2016, award-winning Emirati human rights defender Ahmed Mansoor - who is now serving a 10-year prison sentence in the United Arab Emirates for such unspeakable crimes as insulting the “status and prestige of the UAE and its symbols,” including its leaders - was the victim of a hacking attempt by NSO Group, an Israel-based cyber warfare firm.

According to the University of Toronto-based Citizen Lab, which analysed the attack, the goal of the operation was to convert Mansoor’s iPhone into a "digital spy in his pocket" - taking control of the camera and microphone and recording the activist’s communications and movements.

This, mind you, was four years before the normalisation of UAE-Israeli relations last month - the culmination of a longstanding, secret love affair between the Middle Eastern federation of sheikhdoms and the Zionist state known for habitually massacring Palestinians and otherwise tormenting the Emiratis’ fellow Arabs.

Biden Says Stay in Mideast, Increase Military Spending

Former Vice President Joe Biden gave some of his first foreign policy-related positions in an interview with Stars and Stripes on Thursday, saying the “forever wars have to end” while seemingly ruling out any full-fledged withdrawals, arguing the US still has to worry about terrorism and ISIS.

Biden said the ongoing US wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria are so complicated he can’t promise a withdrawal. He also suggested he may increase military spending even beyond its current record levels as he shifts focus to what he believes should be the military’s priorities.

The priorities, as are so often the case for the US, are fighting Russia, who Biden identified as a “near-peer” power. The US spends more than ten times the amount on its military annually that Russia does, and it is unclear in what way they are a “near-peer.”

Bahrain Normalizes Israel Relations, Signing Ceremony Tuesday

A joint statement between Bahrain and the United States on Friday announced that Bahrain will be normalizing ties with Israel, entering “direct dialogue” and establishing full diplomatic relations.

President Trump made the announcement, and officials say a signing ceremony, involving Bahrain, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates, will be happening on Tuesday. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu presented this as a “new era of peace.”

This started in August with the “Abraham Accord,” a peace deal between Israel and the UAE. This historic announcement got off to a rocky start, however, as the UAE claimed it included a deal to let them buy F-35 warplanes from the US, and Israel has attempted to block that.

Mile Markers Of Tyranny: Losing Our Freedoms On The Road From 9/11 To COVID-19

Authored by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

“No one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end.”

- George Orwell

You can map the nearly 20-year journey from the 9/11 attacks to the COVID-19 pandemic by the freedoms we’ve lost along the way.

The road we have been traveling has been littered with the wreckage of our once-vaunted liberties, especially those enshrined in the Fourth Amendment.

The assaults on our freedoms that began with the post-9/11 passage of the USA Patriot Act laid the groundwork for the eradication of every vital constitutional safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There has been "no US child left behind" since 9/11 who has not witnessed, and experienced the terrors the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika has visited, both upon its citizens, in its being perpetually at war with some third world entity with the temerity of sitting over some natural resource so coveted by this country, that they will go to war to obtain it; control it; insure to whom it can or cannot be sold, and in what monetary currency it can be sold.

And the "active shooters drills" in public schools?!? It would only take ONE for me to pull our kid out of that public school so quickly, that the principal's head would be spinning.

I would also make sure my neighbors understood, that if they sent their child to that public school, the emotional scars from this kind of experience, is precisely the kind of intense trauma with which they can expect their kid to come home.

These drills are not about "safety"; they are about conditioning our kids to accept state-induced trauma, so that they can be controlled more easily.

Nearly 3,500 Yemeni children killed in Saudi airstrikes since 2015: Rights group

Nearly 3,500 children have been killed in Yemen since 2015, when a Saudi-led military coalition started a devastating war against the impoverished country, a human rights group says.

In a report, carried by Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, Yemen’s Human Rights Center said on Monday that some 7,200 Yemeni children were either killed or wounded in the imposed war.

Of these ill-fated children, 3,468 were killed, further said the report, which was titled “Childhood with the Color of Blood and the Smell of Death.”

Citing reports by Yemen’s Health Ministry and the country’s media, the center added that 91 percent of the dead were those who had lost their lives in ceaseless aerial attacks by the invaders.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When you kill the children, babies, and toddlers of a country, you are also killing that country's future; this is what Saudi political and military leadership have attempted to do in Yemen.

They attempt to buy press silence, or sic their "American attack dogs" against anyone who calls it by its rightful name; this is the murder of innocents, writ large.

The Israel-Palestine Conflict, Annexation and “Normalization”. Towards “Greater Israel”

As the Israel-Palestine conflict grinds on with no end in sight, Israel and the US have launched an all-out push to resolve the conflict once and for all, on Israel’s terms. If the manoeuvre is successful, Israel will end up with all of the territories it conquered during the 1967 war, including all of the Golan Heights and Jerusalem and most of the Palestinian Territories, including the best sources of water and agricultural land. The West Bank will find itself in the same situation as the Gaza strip, cut off from the outside world and surrounded by hostile Israeli military forces and Israeli settlements.

What the UAE-Israel Deal Really Means for the Middle East

A key part of this joint intelligence initiative between the UAE and Israel (and, by extension, the U.S.) has been the dramatic increase in the past two years of the purchase of commercial and adjunct residential properties in Iran’s southern Khuzestan province – a key sector for its oil and gas reserves – by UAE-registered businesses, particularly those based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, said the source.

“Around 500,000 Iranians left Iran around the time of the [1979 Islamic] Revolution and settled in Dubai, in the first instance, and then Abu Dhabi, and they have never been in favour of the IRGC having the key role in Iran, so some of them have been used to front businesses or commercial property developments in Khuzestan that are being funded from business registered in those two states of the UAE,” he added.

Report: UAE Letting Israel Send Spies Into Yemen

Reports originating in the Turkish state media are claiming that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia are allowing Israel’s intelligence agencies growing access into Yemen, with the UAE in particular giving Israeli agents access to the strategic island of Socotra.

There is still not a lot of evidence of how far-reaching this is. One Socotra tribal elder was quoting in the media saying this is the case. Socotra’s tribes have been trying to build up opposition to the UAE’s assertion of control over the island during the ongoing Yemen War.

Socotra has regional strategic value, which is why the UAE wants a presence there, and presumably why Israel would also want a presence there. Couple this with the Israel-UAE peace, and the allegation practically writes itself.

UAE And Israel Plan To Create Intelligence Bases On Yemen’s Socotra Island

Israel and the United Arab Emirates are going to create a military intelligence-gathering infrastructure on Yemen’s Socotra Island, according to Arab and French sources.

According to reports, a delegation of Israeli and UAE officers recently visited the island and examined several locations for establishing the planned intelligence facilities. Earlier in August, the UAE and Israel with assistance from the United States reached a historical peace agreement relaunching diplomatic, economic and even military cooperation between the states on the highest level. The security and military cooperation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait was among the expected goals.

The Israel-UAE Deal Isn’t About Peace at All: The U.S.-brokered pact makes no pretense of peace for Palestinians. Instead, it sharpens a regional coalition against Iran.

In some ways, the U.S.-brokered plan for mutual recognition between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is big news. For more than a quarter of a century, only two Middle Eastern countries – Egypt and Jordan – had officially recognized Israel. None of the Gulf monarchies did.

So, it was a pretty big deal when the announcement was made. Except, actually, not so much.

Despite the UAE’s claimed adherence to a decades-long position that no Arab country should normalize relations with Israel until it ended its occupation of Palestinian land, ties between the UAE and Israel had been quietly underway for years. The same is true of many other Arab states.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Wow, this looks more like a cynical "same-old same-old", than a real move for peace in the region.

Pompeo seeks to flood West Asia with arms, defies US own laws: Iran FM

Iran’s foreign minister says his American counterpart, Mike Pompeo, is trying to “flood our region” with all kinds of US weapons even when his country’s own laws prohibit such a measure.

Mohammad Javad Zarif’s comments came in a Monday tweet after Pompeo said earlier the same day and following his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem al-Quds that the US will find a way to balance helping its military ally, the United Arab Emirates, without weakening Israel’s qualitative military edge (QME).

Pompeo’s remarks came amid controversy over whether the US will sell F-35 stealth jets to Abu Dhabi, after the Emirati officials unveiled their plan to totally normalize their country’s relations with Israel.

“The US has legal requirements with respect to the QME, and we will respect that,” Pompeo said, adding, “We have a 20-plus year security relationship with the UAE as well.”

ISRAEL LAUNCHES WEEK-LONG BOMBING CAMPAIGN IN GAZA AMID ONGOING WAR CRIMES INVESTIGATION

SOURCE: MINT PRESS
Last Monday night Israeli fighter jets executed airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip for the ninth night in a row in an act that may be another on Israel’s long list of possible war crimes.

Israeli leaders characterized the actions as retaliatory, naming Gazan “incendiary balloons” and “riots” as justification.

This is just the latest in what mainstream media generally depicts as a “protracted conflict” between “the militant group Hamas and Israel,” after “months of calm” (5 Gazans have been killed in 2020; Israel has shot at farmers and fishermen hundreds of times; no Israelis have been killed).

The plight of Palestinians in Gaza, a population of almost two million crammed into a region the size of Detroit, has been hidden from the view of most, even as the US funds its occupier with over $10 million a day in military aid.

The deal makes the UAE the first Gulf Arab state and the third Arab nation, after Egypt and Jordan, to have diplomatic ties with Israel. But the new Israel-UAE partnership should fool no one. Though it will supposedly stave off Israeli annexation of the West Bank and encourage tourism and trade between both countries, in reality, it is nothing more than a scheme to give an Arab stamp of approval to Israel’s status quo of land theft, home demolitions, arbitrary extrajudicial killings, apartheid laws, and other abuses of Palestinian rights.

Israel Not Giving Up On Annexing West Bank, Netanyahu Says, After Historic UAE Deal

Via AlMasdarNews.com,

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he has not agreed to remove the issue of the extension of Israeli sovereignty over lands in the West Bank and will not relinquish it.

Netanyahu said during a speech on Thursday evening, “The American president asked me to wait on the extension of Israeli sovereignty over more lands.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Feeling more than a little betrayed, Mr. President, when you made the comment that the Israel/UAE deal was going to prevent annexation by Israel of the West Bank?!?

President Donald Trump said in a surprise announcement Thursday that Israel and the United Arab Emirates had agreed to normalize relations and that, as part of the deal, Israel would not annex parts of the West Bank it currently occupies.

Welcome to a much clearer understanding of your greatest "frenemy" yet, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and I am sorry if you are so blind that you cannot see this; the guy just "relieved himself" in your face, geopolitically, and told you "it was raining".

What's the real aim of the disastrous UAE-Israel deal

Israel and the United Arab Emirates have announced an agreement leading to full diplomatic relations -- with the help of US President Donald Trump (who has a Zionist daughter and son-in-law Jared Kushner). Sealed after a long-running series of negotiations and confirmed in a phone call on August 13 among Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli co-prime minister, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, and Donald Trump, the US president, the participants will formally sign the accord at the White House in coming weeks.

Trump's comment? “HUGE breakthrough today! Historic Peace Agreement between our two GREAT friends, Israel and the United Arab Emirates,” he wrote on Twitter.

But is it?

With Trump’s Help, Israel and UAE Reach Historic Deal to Normalize Relations

Israel and the United Arab Emirates reached a historic peace deal on Thursday that will lead to a full normalization of diplomatic relations between the two Middle Eastern nations in an agreement that President Donald Trump helped broker.

Under the agreement, Israel has agreed to suspend applying sovereignty to areas of Yehudah and Shomron that it has been discussing annexing, senior White House officials told Reuters.

The peace deal was the product of lengthy discussions between Israel, the UAE and the United States that accelerated recently, White House officials said.

The agreement was sealed in a phone call on Thursday between Trump, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

The officials described the agreement, to be known as the Abraham Accords, as the first of its kind since Israel and Jordan signed a peace treaty in 1994. It also gives Trump a foreign policy success as he seeks re-election on Nov. 3.

Rabbis: Synagogues’ silence on Israel’s annexation a moral failure, [Independent Jewish Voices Canada]

We are two rabbis and other members of the Hamilton, Ontario, Jewish community who call on the religious institutions of our community to take the clear moral stand of opposing Israel’s plan to annex large areas of Palestinian land in the West Bank and Jordan Valley.

Particularly at this time, parts of the Canadian Jewish community strenuously promote themselves as allies of oppressed minorities here and elsewhere. Some Jewish organizations express concern about police violence in the U.S. and in Canada. Their silence as Jews in the face of extreme ongoing Israeli violence and oppression of the people of Palestine is intolerable and inexcusable. Jewish people in Canada must condemn those institutions’ silence and complicity.

Watch: Massive Fire Engulfs Sprawling UAE Market In Flames

As GCC member states pledge to send aid to embattled Lebanon following yesterday's shocking and historic blast, allegedly caused by government negligence in the borderline failed state, a massive explosion just rocked a busy market near Dubai, in the UAE.

The fire has spread rapidly through a market in the emirate of Ajman.

Social media users are speculating without any evidence about a possible connection between this fire and the explosion yesterday in Beirut - though "bad things come in twos and threes" isn't much of a theory to go on.

War Drums Beat In The Middle East After Thousands Of Casualties In Beirut Explosion

Initial reports suggested that the explosion may have been caused by an incident in the firework storage area. However, later, Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hassan Diab said that 2,750 metric tons of ammonium nitrate, which is typically used as an agricultural fertilizer, had been stored for six years at a port warehouse without proper safety measures, “endangering the safety of citizens.”

This statement was backed by General Security chief Abbas Ibrahim, who said a “highly explosive material” had been confiscated years earlier and stored in the warehouse, just minutes’ walk from Beirut’s shopping and nightlife districts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF there was ever a time for some "adults in the geopolitical room" (and guys, you KNOW who you are!!) to be working the phones to ratchet down the tensions here, now is bloody well the time for them to get to it.

And folks, regarding a potential de-escalation of tensions, don't look at all to President Trump for help; he is way too enmeshed in his own pre-election issues to care.

Waffling while Libya burns: Libya’s problem is a security problem that requires a military solution

"Libya’s problem is a security problem that requires a military solution. In the west of the country are the Turkish-sponsored Islamist cutthroats of the Muslim Brotherhood and their crime syndicate allies, now backed by nearly 20,000 Syrian mercenaries and other Turkish-trained jihadists. In the east is the elected parliament and its armed force, the LNA, which succeeded in cleansing that part of the country of the Islamist terrorists. It should be obvious to everyone that there cannot be a political accommodation with the Islamist terrorists — the Muslim Brotherhood and its protégés — not in Libya or any other country. To reach a political accommodation with the Muslim Brotherhood is akin to asking the US White House to share power with the drugs mafia or urge Westminster to enter talks with jihadist Anjem Choudary.

Israel Moves Advanced Missile Systems To Lebanese Border On Fears Of Hezbollah Attack

Via AlMasdarNews.com

A Hebrew-language channel stated on Wednesday night that the Israeli army expects an attack by Hezbollah during the Islamic Eid Al-Adha holiday.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Kann, reported that Israel fears a “second attack” by Hezbollah in the next 48 hours, that is, during the celebration of Eid al-Adha.

The news channel reported that, based on this expectation, the Israeli army has strengthened its forces in the north near the Lebanese and Syrian borders, deploying advanced missile systems, special rockets and intelligence-gathering capabilities, for fear of a reaction from Hezbollah, after one of its members was killed in an airstrike on July 20th in Damascus.

The Israel-based news channel quoted a “Lebanese diplomat in Beirut” – whom they did not name – as saying that Hezbollah does not want a comprehensive escalation with Israel, but that it is looking for a real retaliation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Is this for real, or is the Israeli government broadcasting it is preparing to try a "false flag" against Hezbollah?!?

False flags are a very common form of Israeli statecraft; I am hoping (and praying) for calm, but I don't know that this will happen, looking at the level of distraction Netanyahu needs to misdirect Israeli citizens away from looking at the government's response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and his own corruption trial problems.

Tens of Saudi-led coalition defect to Houthis

Another defection from the camp of Saudi led coalition. This time a group of nearly 40 forces from the Republican Guards who were stationed in Yemen's western coastline declared their defection to the Houthi Ansarullah Movement in the capital Sana'a.

The commander of the group Major General Fawaz Aljaali said that real intention of the Saudi-led became clear to them only after serving under the command of what he described as the country's occupiers. This defection has come after major victories achieved by Ansarullah fighters and army forces in the vicinity of Marib city.

Experts say this defection is considered as the biggest one that has followed many defections by senior military officials from the camp of Saudi led coalition. Since the beginning of Saudi led war in Yemen in 2015, thousands of the coalition forces have left the ranks of it.

Four children killed, two injured as cluster bomb explodes in Yemen’s Ma’rib

At least four children have lost their lives and two others sustained injuries when a cluster bomb dropped earlier by the Saudi-led military aircraft in a residential area of Yemen’s central province of Ma’rib went off.

Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing local sources, reported that the explosion took place in the village of al-Hazm, which lies in the Harib al-Qaramish district of the province, on Tuesday.

Back on June 11, Yemen's Ministry of Human Rights, in a statement released by the official SABA news agency, warned that cluster munitions pose a serious danger to the lives of civilians, especially women and children, if they come in close contact with them.

The statement added that the alliance has used thousands of cluster bombs on residential areas, causing the death and injury of many civilians. Unexploded submunitions risk the lives of locals in the targeted areas as well.

US presence root cause of insecurity in West Asia: Ayatollah Khamenei

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Americans' presence in the region is the cause of insecurity in West Asia, underlining the need for unity among Muslims in the face of the US and the Zionist regime of Israel.

"We consider the US presence in the West Asian region to be a detriment to the nations of this region and a cause for insecurity, destruction and backwardness of the countries," Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday in his annual Hajj message.

"Today, as always and more than ever, the necessary interests of the Islamic Ummah lie in unity; such unity that creates a single force in the face of threats and hostilities, and yells at the devil incarnate, that is the aggressive and treacherous US, and its mad dog, the Zionist regime, and bravely stands up to their bullying," the Leader added.

The Beginning of the U.S.-Iran Hot War?

“Americans should not blame others in vain,” Iranian general Esmail Gha’ani has declared, “this is a fire they have lit and today has engulfed them.” Gha’ani, a veteran military commander who heads the Quds Force, the branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for extraterritorial operations, was speaking about the massive fire that has overtaken a U.S. navy vessel in San Diego.

The provocative remarks come amid signs of a new level of covert warfare being waged against Iran. The country has been beset by its own mysterious infernos and explosions, including at parks, medical clinics, power plants, ports, factories, a missile production compound, and a nuclear facility. The latter has been attributed to Israel by a source speaking to the New York Times. The incidents also come as the Trump administration has greenlighted the CIA to target Iranian infrastructure with cyberweapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has utterly no clue of what he might unleash, if he either he joins with Israel to attack Iran, or attacks Iran directly, for which Netanyahu has been constantly been agitating.

Am I the only human being on this planet without SMD (selective memory disorder) who remembers what Moscow's envoy said at a diplomatic conference to his Iranian counterpart last summer, when the guy made the statement: Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says The article goes on to state the following:
"“Iran will withstand this type of fight and Iran is not alone,” Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, said at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

When asked if Russia was ready to provide material support to Iran if the U.S. attacks it, Kabulov said that “specific actions are a question for the Russian president.”

“But it’s not just Russia, many other countries sympathize and empathize with Iran,” the Kommersant business daily quoted him as saying. “Tehran won’t be alone if the U.S., God forbid, takes wild and irresponsible actions against it."

War with Russia over Iran?!? You have GOT to be flipping kidding me!!

However, unfortunately, just because something would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government and military could possibly do, is utterly no guarantee that they won't do it.

Next Monday is 3 August; we're barely 90 days out until the next election, and between the Covid 19 pandemic and the economic depression with which the country is dealing, President Trump is losing the window on gaining another term in office, and rapidly.

Animals are at their most dangerous when wounded, and between the "Nothing-gate/Russiagate", and his current woes in office, the President is a very definitely geopolitically wounded politician.

He may think that his only card, right now, he's left with, is to play "the war card" against Iran, and that this country, and the world, will line up behind him solidly on this; the man could not possibly be further from the truth.

As long as I have breath, and it does not become illegal, through the suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights as a "wartime measure", I will continue to advise President Trump, and this administration, against this recklessly dangerous path of action.

And there is a companion article, from sputniknews.com today, with the headline reading:

This article goes on to state: "At the same time, Washington has repeatedly ignored Tehran's calls for the US to stop sending its carriers to the Gulf and its warnings that such actions only contribute to the escalation of tensions in the region, not to security.

The US Navy has criticised Iran’s military drills that are taking place along the waterways in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, adding that it is monitoring them closely. The American military further called the war games an Iranian attempt "to intimidate and coerce", without clarifying whom or for what purpose.

"We are aware of the Iranian exercise involving attacking a mock-up of a vessel similar to a motionless aircraft carrier [...] We are always watchful of this type of irresponsible and reckless behaviour by Iran in the vicinity of busy international waterways", US Fifth Fleet spokeswoman Rebecca Rebarich said in an interview with AFP."

Folks, something wicked this way comes.

Watch: Israel Reinforces Troops Near Golan Heights Fearing Hezbollah Retaliation To Strikes On Syria

Submitted by South Front,

The Middle East is rapidly moving towards a new round of confrontation between the US-Israeli bloc and Iranian-led Shiite forces...

On July 26, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) deployed M109 Doher howitzers near the separation line with Lebanon. The deployment of howitzers became the latest in a series of broad measures employed by the IDF near Lebanon recently. Earlier, the 13th “Gideon” Infantry Battalion of the IDF’s elite 1st “Golani” Brigade reinforced troops near the border. The number Israeli Hermes 450 drone reconnaissance flights also significantly increased over southern Lebanon. Additional IDF units were also deployed in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. On top of this, the IDF announced that it will hold the Lebanese government responsible “for all actions emanating from Lebanon”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With the election-year turmoil here in the US, coupled with the broader issues of Covid 19 and riots in major metropolitan areas of the US, Netanyahu feels he can "get away with" major provocations in Syria and Lebanon, and that President Trump will do utterly nothing to stop him; the world is in for a profoundly dangerous set of moments which may well not resolve themselves until far after the US elections in November.

Yemen war: Ansarullah says to unveil new ballistic missile after striking Saudi sites

Just a day after striking sensitive oil installations and military sites inside Saudi Arabia in a retaliatory operation, Yemeni armed forces say they will soon unveil a new type of domestic ballistic missile.

Brigadier Abdullah bin Amer, deputy director of the Department of Moral Guidance for Media Affairs, hailed Yemen's major military operation that targeted a number of sites deep within the Saudi territory, including King Khalid airbase in the city of Khamis Mushait, an oil facility in Jizan industrial zone as well as military sites at Abha, Jizan and Najran airports and a military camp in Ma’rib Province.

Unlike previous operations that involved launching only one ballistic missile, the recent strike was conducted using a combination of missiles and drones, al-Masirah TV channel quoted bin Amer as saying.

Yemeni army launches fresh retaliatory attacks on Saudi Arabia

Oil company Saudi Aramco operates a 400,000 barrel-a-day refinery in the Red Sea city of Jizan, which lies around 60 km (40 miles) from the Yemen border.

Yemen's army backed by Ansarullah fighters launched a number of retaliatory operations deep inside Saudi territories in response to Saudi spike of airstrikes. The army spokesperson Yahia Sareah said that the recent operations have hit their targets in airports of Jizan, Asir and Khamis Mushait, including a gathering of senior military officers, among them Saudi military officials in Altadween military camp in Ma?rib.

These operations, the army spokesperson says, have been carried out in retaliation to the spike of Saudi airstrikes, including Sunday's Saudi airstrike on a house in Washeha area of Hajjah province that resulted in the killing of 10 members from one family, among them the mother and two of her infants.

Saudi-Backed and UAE-Backed Yemeni Fighters Clash in Taiz

Fighting in southern Yemen continued over the weekend in Taiz, when the Saudi-backed Yemeni government accused the UAE-backed separatists of having designs on the strategically important city, leading to multiple clashes.

Government forces and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) have been fighting over several provinces in South Yemen in recent weeks, and Taiz has been seen as the key to this war from the start. Indeed, the stalemate there is a big part of why pro-Saudi forces have been stalled in the south.

The UAE backs the separatists, and the Saudis back the government, but mostly the Saudis have tried to get the two sides talking, something which so far hasn’t accomplished anything, with the government criticizing the very idea of power-sharing.

After the Saudis attacked Aden, Taiz was the first offensive, aiming to take a road leading to Sanaa. The fight over Taiz has been raging ever since, with no sign of anyone taking it over enough to push deeper north.

US fully responsible for Saudi-led military aggression against Yemen: Army spox

The spokesman for Yemeni army has censured the US as the conspirator of the Saudi-led military onslaught on his country, saying Washington arms the Riyadh regime and its regional allies, defines goals for them and is involved in a political cover-up for their acts of aggression.

“Over the past few days, Yemeni armed forces have discovered large quantities of US-built munitions at the positions of Saudi mercenaries [loyal to the ex-Yemeni government] while conducting clean-up operations in the provinces of Ma’rib and al-Bayda,” Brigadier General Yahya Saree said at a press conference broadcast live from the capital Sana’a on Tuesday afternoon.

Slavery Rampant In Africa, Middle East; The West Wrongly Accuses Itself

The United States abolished slavery 150 years ago, and has affirmative action for minorities. It is the country that elected a Black president, Barack Obama -- twice! Yet, a new movement is toppling one historic monument after another one, as if the US is still enslaving African-Americans. Activists in Washington DC even targeted an Emancipation Memorial, depicting President Abraham Lincoln, who paid with his life for freeing slaves.

Today slavery still exists in many parts of Africa and Middle East, but the self-flagellating Western public is obsessively focused only on the Western past of African slavery rather than on real, ongoing slavery, which is alive and well -- and ignored. For today's slaves, there are no demonstrations in the streets, no international political pressure, and virtually no articles in the media.

Luongo: Is John Bolton A 'Resistance' Hero Or Traitor To Common Decency?

Authored by Tom Luongo via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

There are few men in modern American history more venal than Former National Security Adviser John Bolton. Calling Bolton a relic of the Cold War in his outlook on foreign policy is a kindness.

Bolton is a dangerous and pathetic creature whose entire life is an example of how incomplete men with a talent for violence can rise in a late-stage cesspit of political corruption.

US and its allies are leading an arms race in Middle East, not Iran: Scholar

The United States and its allies, Israel and Saudi Arabia, are leading an arms race in the Middle East region, not Iran, an American scholar has said.

Kevin Barrett, an author, journalist and radio host with a Ph.D. in Islamic and Arabic Studies, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Monday, after US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook said that lifting the arms embargo on Iran will trigger an arms race in the Middle East.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs Adel al-Jubeir in Riyadh on Monday, Hook said lifting the ban would "only embolden" Iran and destabilize the region.

"This is not an outcome that the UN Security Council can accept. The council's mandate is clear: to maintain international peace and security," Hook added.

Speaking at a press conference in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a on Monday afternoon, Brigadier General Yahya Saree highlighted that 400 square kilometers of land in the two provinces had been liberated during the operation.

US Middle East Wars Far from Over

By Tony Cartalucci for Global Research.

Despite what appears to be a terminal decline of US influence over the Middle East, Washington has no intentions of gracefully abandoning its aspirations of regional hegemony.

Air strikes carried out against Syria by Washington’s Israeli proxies, a mysterious explosion near Tehran, and the current Iraqi Prime Minister’s decision to round up leaders of Iranian-backed militias who helped defeat the self-proclaimed “Islamic State” (ISIS) unfolded in quick succession in an apparent coordinated campaign aimed at Iran and its allies.

New Iraqi Prime Minister’s Checkered Past

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi took office in May 2020.

While he has warned about deepening relations with Iran he has concurrently stated the importance of US backing – despite the US having illegally invaded, destroyed, and since occupied Iraq starting in 2003.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is profoundly discouraging about November's election, is the very sickening reality that no matter who wins the election, the bi-partisan war party will be safely and securely in charge; what the American people have, every 4 years, is not a choice in the direction of their country moving forward, but an illusion of choice, engineered to "game the system" so that the already monied win, and continue to win.

And I will make another prediction, no matter who wins in November; the US government and military will most probably go back to a draft. The quality and quantity of recruits is no where near where it needs to be for winning present and future wars, to which past, present, and and future administrations are, and will be committed, like the good psychopaths they are.

At Least 54 Killed as South Yemen Ceasefire Collapses in Abyan

A Saudi-brokered ceasefire between the Saudi-backed government in Yemen and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) has not lasted long, and after tensions on the island of Socotra, fighting erupted in Abyan Province.

Fighting has raged over 24 hours in Abyan Province, with at least 54 fighters killed. Both sides are blaming the other for starting the fighting and “violating” the truce. Monitors are still heading into Abyan, but it’s not clear there is a ceasefire left to monitor.

A coastal province, Abyan has often been contested by the STC, and the same territory was under dispute during the Arab Spring, when Islamist groups tied to al-Qaeda seized several towns in the area, including the provincial capital of Zinjibar.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Anyone holding any hope for this cease-fire holding, does not really understand the nature of this conflict.

As Coronavirus Rips Through Yemen, Saudi Bombs Continue to Fall

With an already shattered medical infrastructure due to the five-year US-Saudi siege, Covid-19 has rapidly spread through Yemen. The Arab country lacks the basic necessities for preventative measures like clean water, and a population facing malnourishment is especially vulnerable to the disease. A recent uptick in Saudi bombing might put a country already on the brink of collapse over the edge.

Last week, Saudi warplanes pounded Yemen’s capital Sanaa, in what residents called the worst airstrikes they have seen since the first years of the war. Seventy-seven airstrikes hit several provinces in north Yemen within 24 hours. According to the Houthi’s health ministry and NGOs on the ground, one of the strikes hit a car traveling in the Sadaa province and killed 13 civilians, including four children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Killing civilians, particularly civilian kids; that's what we, with our war-crimes enabled and sanctified by the US government, DO!!" - official Saudi souse.

Americans, particularly those who lived through the horror which was the war against Vietnam.
