IN PRAISE OF COVERT ACTION QUARTERLY (1978 – 2005)

Many things we know about the government’s misdeeds started with the research of the Covert Action Quarterly.

Founded by former CIA agent James Agee, it featured research and writing by Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Michael Parenti, and Christopher Hitchens and published from 1978 – 2005.

“Coup 1953” Documentary Opens Up Wounds Over Britain’s Criminal Role in Iran’s History

“Angry TV film-makers stop release of lauded Iranian documentary,” ran the headline of a recent Guardian news story. What documentary exactly is this? We learn: “Coup 53, which charts MI6’s role in the shah’s restoration, has been blocked by makers of a 1985 show, who say it sullies their names.”

The makers of that show, the British TV series End of Empire, deny that the UK government put any pressure on them to remove an interview with an MI6 officer from their series (they say it was an off the record interview). For this reason they are preventing the release of a film that documents Britain’s treachery back in the 1950s, when a vicious act of state-sponsored terrorism was perpetrated against an entire nation.

“Germany marks 75th Anniversary” of corrupt Nuremberg Tribunals, but whose trials were they?

THE HEADLINES ON ALL THE DUTIFULLY PLACED NEWS STORIES marking the 75th anniversary of the opening day of what's known as the Nuremberg Military Tribunals are identical on this November 20, 2020: “Germany marks 75th anniversary of landmark Nuremberg trials”. The reason they are identical is because only one article was written, by the Associated Press (AP) and, as usual, just picked up and run by everyone else. There is no diversity in the coverage.

The thing to notice is that “Germany marks” this historical event, not the governments that actually put on the spectacle and supplied all the personnel to carry it out for a period of almost a year (218 trial days). These four governments were the UK, US, France & Russia--who today want nothing to do with it!! (Thus the headline “Germany marks”.)

That there's no objection to every news outlet carrying the same AP article is evidence, as if it were needed, that there is only one narrative allowed anyway.

57 YEARS AGO TODAY: THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF THE JFK ASSASSINATION

Today - Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 - is the fifty-seventh anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. And with that in mind, I'd like to share some thoughts and an article. The first thought is something I've said before, namely, that we've been living in one long arc of American history from the JFK murder until now, and that Donald Trump - whatever one thinks of him - will either close that arc, or be just another in a long procession of mediocrities willing to live with the consequences of that event fifty-seven long years ago. Right now, we're living through a major event and debate of a different sort, namely, the evidence (for those that want to bother to look), of massive election fraud and, it would appear on first glance, to steal an election by means of that massive fraud. And to listen to some "outraged" media personalities, this "just shouldn't happen" because this is "the United States of 'Murika," and not, as we're constantly reminded, "a banana republic."

Kamala Harris's win is historic, but the 1st U.S. VP of colour was elected 91 years ago

Jeanne Eder Rhodes says most people are taken aback when she tells them that Kamala Harris is not the first person of colour to be elected vice-president of the United States.

Harris made history this weekend when she became the first woman, Black person and South Asian elected to the nation's second highest office. But the first person of colour in that role was Charles Curtis, a member of the Kaw Nation who served alongside president Herbert Hoover between 1929 and 1933.

"They're always quite surprised. They didn't know that there was a Native American vice-president," Rhodes, a Dakota Sioux historian and retired U.S. history professor, told As It Happens host Carol Off.

"And then I go into talking about other important figures in the United States and things that we've done as Native people."

FLASHBACK - Obama admits US-ISIS terror link

Call it a Freudian slip, but US President Barack Obama appears to have come clean, for once, on the connection between American foreign policy and the so called Islamic State (ISIS) terror group.

In an address earlier this week to the leaders of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), gathered in California, Obama was answering questions from news reporters on various international topics. On the matter of terrorist groups expanding their foothold in Libya, the president said the following: “With respect to Libya… we will go after ISIS wherever it appears, the same way we went after al Qaeda wherever they appeared.”

In casual parlance the phrase “go after” can mean “to destroy”. But the more literal meaning and perhaps the one that Obama inadvertently let slip is simply “to follow”–as in a partnered way.

THE REVELATIONS OF WIKILEAKS: No. 9—Opening the CIA’s Vault

On Feb. 6, 2017, WikiLeaks released documents detailing the Central Intelligence Agency’s espionage program in the months leading up to and following France’s presidential election in 2012.

The agency used spies and cyberweapons to infiltrate and hack into the major political parties with competing candidates — the Socialists, the National Front and the Union for a Popular Movement. Their candidates — respectively François Hollande, Marine Le Pen and incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy — were also spied upon individually, as were many other prominent political figures.

History is Unerring, Redundant and Unforgiving: The Shocking Parallels of the 1917 Russian Bolshevik Revolution to 2020 US Leftist Rebellion

A number of troubling developments are highlighted by the general election on November 3, 2020. The Wisdom in Scripture states, “That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So, there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, ‘See this, it is new’? Already it has existed for ages which were before us” (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10).

Although the Secularist bitterly rejects Inspiration’s truth, the truth remains a reality. The unfolding developments of the 2020 election offer a shocking illustration that “that which has been is that which will be.” This is an interesting study, but it portends grave trouble for our Republic. Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this development is the nonchalance with which it is regarded. Today historical truths are given a shrug of indifference by some, alarms by others and a cunning smirk by those using history’s playbook for their insidious mission.

HOW DID WITCHES COME TO RIDE BROOMSTICKS?

The popular icon of a witch is an ugly old woman riding across the sky on her magic broomstick and wearing a pointed hat. But as with all mythologies there is an element of truth behind the image. Witches did ride brooms, after a fashion, the brooms were magic, in a way, and the pointed hat was the mildest of the punishments inflicted on them for their activities!

HISTORIANS CONFIRM KARL MARX WAS EMPLOYED BY THE ROTHSCHILDS

Historians have confirmed that Karl Marx was not only related to the Rothschilds, but was also employed as their agent in order to subvert democracy and corrupt the Socialist movement.

Karl Marx was born in a London squalor, and came from a long line of rabbis.

Henrymakow.com reports: He used to visit the Red Lion Pub at Great Windmill Street, Soho where he and Friedrich Engels were asked to write what became the Communist Manifesto. His best known work is the book Das Kapital, which fails to mention that money is printed out of thin air and by his cousins, the Rothschilds.

FLASHBACK, 2018: Joe Biden Brags At CFR Meeting About Withholding Aid To Ukraine To Force Firing Of Prosecutor

In this clip from a January 2018 appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations, former Vice President Joe Biden seems to brag about threatening to withhold military aid to Ukraine as a pressure tactic to force the firing of a prosecutor he did not like.

In September 2019, House Democrats launched a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump over a whistleblower's accusation that he threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine as a pressure tactic to force the Ukrainian government to investigate allegations that Joe Biden's son Hunter benefited financially from the firing of that same Ukrainian prosecutor.

Biden and many prominent names from the Obama administration say that the removal of the prosecutor was official U.S. policy at the time.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Never had so many people been put in prison. The size of the Allied captures was unprecedented in all history. You may have heard the terms “Cultural Marxism,” “Critical Theory” or “Frankfurt School” bandied about. Student Of History Has Brutal History Lesson For Anti-America Democrats: Some American Indian Tribes Kept Human Slaves, And ATE THEM During Difficult Times!

It’s getting that time of the year when people who wish to be perceived as modish, maybe even elegant, start taking shots at Christopher Columbus. It shows they are woke. (That’s the first time I’ve used that word incorrectly, and I feel, well, silly.)

The Indians in North America were sleeping peacefully in their hogans, wigwams, and longhouses during the early hours of October 12, 1492. They were dreaming as their ancestors had for centuries, of flashing salmon, thundering herds of bison, the thump of an arrow striking a deer, and the sound of corn rustling in the evening breeze, with no idea of the events that would happen when Europeans stepped out of a small boat into the pounding surf.

As the Indians began to stir from a sound sleep, Admiral Christopher Columbus was nearing the island of San Salvador. While looking for the old world, he had discovered a new world.

Communist Terror Coming for You

Within a year of seizing power in Russia in 1917, the Bolsheviks, Lenin established the Cheka, the "political police" of the new communist government. The Cheka was in charge of administering The Red Terror--the unbelievably brutal policy of state-sanctioned murder--terror as a policy goal--by which tens of millions of innocent Russians lost their lives. Here are a baker's dozen verifiable facts to give you an idea of what it was like in Russia while the Bolsheviks held power:

When Bill Kristol Heard the Vince Foster Witness Story

The headquarters of the conservative Heritage Foundation is located on the edge of Capitol Hill a block east of Union Station. I have attended quite a few functions there in their main auditorium to hear interesting speakers. They serve refreshments in a little anteroom where one can socialize with other attendees, often including the guest speaker. In this instance in the first week of March 1996, the speaker was the influential editor of the conservative Weekly Standard, William Kristol. I don’t recall his topic. I had been working with Patrick Knowlton, the key witness in the matter of the July 20, 1993, mysterious death of Vincent Foster, the deputy White House counsel in president Bill Clinton’s administration, and with Knowlton’s lawyer, John Clarke. At the after-speech refreshments, I sidled over to Kristol and told him that I’d like to talk to him about Patrick Knowlton.

Angela Davis vs. O.J. Simpson

Angela Davis and O.J. Simpson are two of the most famous people in America to have been tried for murder and acquitted.

Here’s a question: 50 years after Judge Harold Haley had his head blown off by a shotgun purchased by Dr. Angela Davis two days before, is there even a theory explaining how Davis could not have committed felony murder?

Of course, in the opinion of the jury, the prosecution failed to prove Davis was involved in murder beyond a reasonable doubt, just as the jury felt that the prosecution failed to prove Simpson was a murderer beyond a reasonable doubt.

But … I at least hear clever theories excusing OJ from his supporters, but not from Angela Davis’s many fans, who tend to be better placed in the media.

Will A Military Coup Undo The November Elections, Donald Trump, & The Republic Itself?

Authored by Matthew Ehret via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

On March 20, I published an article called Why Assume There will be a 2020 Election? where I laid out the existential threat of a new Wall Street military Coup which would not only render elections obsolete, but would impose a new fascist hell onto America and the world.

In that article I discussed the importance of General Smedley Butler’s strategic decision to expose the Wall Street plot to overthrow the newly elected president Franklin Roosevelt who was in the midst of waging a war on both Wall Street, the City of London and the chaos these financiers engineered during the great depression. Butler’s congressional testimony put the spotlight on these shadow creatures and gave FDR the breathing space and public supported needed to wage war on America’s deep state while pushing a bold healing of the nation under the New Deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would love to say that this would be impossible in this country, but as a history buff, I cannot say that, at this moment in our country's history, with any confident degree of certainty.

The CIA Has Never Worked for the American People

Historically, the U.S. never had an official permanent civilian central intelligence agency. The functions of intelligence and espionage were carried out by the State Department, the different branches of the armed forces, particularly the Navy, and the FBI. This explains why, after the end of WWII, Truman disbanded the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in charge of intelligence and refused to hear its chief, General Bill Donovan, arguments favoring the creation of a central intelligence agency. It contributed to his decision the fact that rumors that Donovan was trying to create an American Gestapo had been leaked to the press, most likely by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

Flashback: Why The WHO Faked A Pandemic

The World Health Organization has suddenly gone from crying "The sky is falling!" like a cackling Chicken Little to squealing like a stuck pig. The reason: charges that the agency deliberately fomented swine flu hysteria. "The world is going through a real pandemic. The description of it as a fake is wrong and irresponsible," the agency claims on its Web site. A WHO spokesman declined to specify who or what gave this "description," but the primary accuser is hard to ignore.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), a human rights watchdog, is publicly investigating the WHO's motives in declaring a pandemic. Indeed, the chairman of its influential health committee, epidemiologist Wolfgang Wodarg, has declared that the "false pandemic" is "one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century."

...until covid.

When The C.I.A. Is Formed In 1947 (Established By President Truman)

The C.I.A. has long loomed large in the minds of tinfoil hat–wearers and fans of police procedurals alike, but its formation was born out of the need for oversight. Following World War II, the U.S. government was desperate to prevent another Pearl Harbor, which would require a new agency that could gather information on threats to national security and keep it all in one place. A central intelligence agency, if you will. At the time, President Truman was iffy on the creation of a new agency, but at the onset of the Cold War, he changed his mind and brought the C.I.A. to life.

Britain, France, and Germany Spurn US Plan for Iran Sanctions

Trump Administration officials have been saying this for weeks, but on Friday reiterated their intentions to try to enforce a UN Security Council resolution that includes broad sanctions against Iran. Officials say they expect every nation to comply.

The glaring problem with this is that the resolution doesn’t exist, at least not as an active resolution the US wants. The P5+1 nuclear deal gave the US the authority to reimpose sanctions on Iran, but the US had withdrawn from that pact years ago. Though the Trump Administration argued that didn’t matter, the UN has virtually unanimously rejected their interpretation, and rejected the UN Security Council resolution. The US believes the resolution becomes active Sunday, but the reality is it just doesn’t exist legally.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These actions spell desperation on the cusp of madness, and the world is not following suit; so, what is next here, an invasion of Iran?!?

Considering just how "brilliantly" the other US occupations around the world are going, you might imagine it might just be time for a "re-think" on this; but of course, Israel's Bibi Netanyahu will not allow that to happen; he wants the US waging war against Iran, so Israel will not have to.

Erasing History and Erasing Truth: Censorship and Destroying Records Is the Cornerstone of Tyrants

Tyranny requires that the truth be silenced, that real history be erased and rewritten, that speech be restricted, and that individual thought be silenced. In this time of constant turmoil, false flags, wars, civil unrest, and now internal bio-terrorism and manufactured pandemics, a major agenda of the state apparatus is to silence all dissent, and mandate conformity. It is imperative considering the state’s plan for total control that it stifle criticism and retain the power to control the mainstream narrative, while aggressively eliminating all other resistance and questioning. This is the state of the world that we live in today. As things continue to deteriorate, nonconformance cannot be allowed if global governance and a global reset are to be successful.

As of 2018, the Late Ruth Bader Ginsburg Had Hired Only One Black Clerk in 38 Years on the Bench

One of the impressive things about the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was her lack of Wokeness by 2020 standards. For example, she refused to saddle herself with an affirmative action law clerk. As a Supreme Court justice from 1993-2020, she had 119 clerks. In 2018, the Washington Post reported that only one had been black. Before her elevation to the Supreme Court, she had no black law clerks during her 13 years as a judge on the prestigious D.C. Circuit of the US Court of Appeals.

The Library of Alexandria is on Fire - corbettreport

SHOW NOTES AND MP3: https://www.corbettreport.com/?p=37562

We all know the story of the Library of Alexandria, the vast repository of ancient texts that was burnt to the ground by Caesar in 48 B.C. While the story itself isn't accurate, it speaks to us today as we face the digital book burnings that are threatening the modern-day Library of Alexandria: the internet. In this speech delivered at the AE911Truth Justice Rising conference on September 13, 2020, James Corbett connects the dots from that ancient story to the internet censorship of today, and outlines what we can do to fight the fire that is threatening our most important information.

14 Presidents Before George Washington? These Figures Predate Office as We Know It

It could be said that 14 men served as president of the United States before George Washington, and although they led the Continental Congress, they were unquestionably among the leaders who shaped the country.

But the historical figures who occupied the office of president of the Continental Congress, later called the Confederation Congress, led the first organized government of what is now the United States, Free Republic contends.

Benghazi: The Forgotten "September 11th" Attack On The US Consulate In Libya

If you say “September 11” most people automatically think of the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. What they probably don’t even remember happened on September 11, were the attacks on the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012.

Once the Libyan Revolution began in February 2011, the CIA began placing assets in the region, attempting to make contacts within the region. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, whose name and image would soon become synonymous with the Benghazi attacks, was the first liaison between the United States and the rebels. The task before the American intelligence community at that time was securing arms in the country, most notably shoulder-fired missiles, taken from the Libyan military.

The First Draft: FDR Signs Selective Training And Service Act

Conscription, or the draft, is something that every young man in America thinks about when they turn 17. In order to do anything—get a driver's license, vote, or just move freely throughout the states without a hassle—you've got to sign up for the draft, whether we're at war or not. This hasn't always been the case: For most of the country's young life, Americans have only had to sign up for the draft when there's an actual war on, but in 1940, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Selective Training and Service Act, creating the first draft in the United States.

Black And Mexican Cowboys Made Up At Least 25% Of The American West

When you think of the Wild West, you probably think of a lonesome cowboy who maybe looks a bit like John Wayne, out on his own, fighting the elements and struggling to survive the harsh conditions and brutal lawlessness of a vast and desolate countryside. While this image isn't exactly wrong, it's only a tiny fraction of the true picture of the West, which was a much more complex and diverse place than most modern cowboy tales depict. To really understand the cowboy's place in history, we first have to separate the cowboy as the literary hero archetype from the true cowboys who played a pivotal role in shaping the future of America.

A Hacker Said He Had Proof the CIA Caused the Anthrax Attacks. They Had Him Arrested for Child Porn.

Sonia Kennebeck begins her documentary Enemies of the State with an epigraph from Oscar Wilde: “The truth is never pure and rarely simple.” By the conclusion of Kennebeck’s film, which premiered this week at the Toronto International Film Festival, the convoluted series of events she recounts reveal that nothing is straightforward about the case her documentary dissects—the strange saga of Matt DeHart, a man hailed by his supporters as a whistleblower and denounced by his detractors as a sex predator. Instead of assuaging the audience’s curiosity and providing a clear-cut resolution to this murky scenario, Kennebeck, whether courageously or perversely, leaves her viewers hanging. Perhaps the opaque nature of the DeHart controversy, replete with unyielding positions from partisans on both sides, leaves her no choice.

Never Forget: Smoking Gun Intel Memo From 1990s Warned Of 'Frankenstein The CIA Created'

As Americans pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001 which saw almost 3,000 innocents killed in the worst terror attack in United States history, it might also be worth contemplating the horrific wars and foreign quagmires unleashed during the subsequent 'war on terror'.

Bush's so-called Global War on Terror targeted 'rogue states' like Saddam's Iraq, but also consistently had a focus on uprooting and destroying al-Qaeda and other armed Islamist terror organizations (this led to the falsehood that Baathist Saddam and AQ were in cahoots). But the idea that Washington from the start saw al-Qaeda and its affiliates as some kind of eternal enemy is largely a myth.

Yet the very war that was concluding would not have occurred had Perry’s expedition never be sent. The flag represented the unmitigated, counterproductive, even disastrous hubris that dominates American foreign policy today.

A conservative student organization has flagged a quiz at Vanderbilt University where students were asked “Was the Constitution designed to perpetuate white supremacy and protect the institution of slavery?” A student who answered “false” was marked wrong by the professor. The class is taught by Professors Josh Clinton, Eunji Kim, Jon Meacham, and Dean John Geer entitled PSCI 1150: U. S. ELECTIONS 2020.

Meacham is a regular guest on MSNBC and CNN and other networks as well as a contributing editor for The New York Times Book Review.

The question posed to students is shown below:

“Was the Constitution designed to perpetuate white supremacy and protect the institutional of slavery?

The faculty would only accept “true” as the answer.

The First Olympics Ever: A Veritable Free-For-All Of Mayhem

Ah, the Olympics, when the world sets aside its differences and sends its best athletes for a few weeks of friendly competition in the name of sportsmanship and international relations. Although the pandemic robbed us of the Summer Games this year, we can take the time to look back at the original Olympic Games in Ancient Greece, a bloody, naked, and horrific affair with few rules and an abundance of mayhem.

Piggly Wiggly: The First Supermarket That Let You Pick Out Your Own Food

Going to the grocery store in the early 1900s was nothing like what it is today. Instead of rolling in with a cart and grabbing things off the shelves to the strains of the in-store audio system's tasteful muzak, customers handed their shopping lists to a clerk who would collect the groceries for them. This kind of "full-service" shop was perfect for preventing theft and a premium customer experience, but it was an expensive way to do business.

Los Pobladores: The 44 Mexican-Indigenous People Who Founded Los Angeles In 1781

Los Angeles is a city of constant reinvention. There's the past that the city remembers and the past that the city rewrites until the real story is forgotten. One such part of that past is the actual founding of Los Angeles by a group of Mexican and Indigenous people known as Los Pobladores, a collection of 44 settlers who came to to Los Angeles in 1781. The group was a racially diverse collection of men and women who built a pueblo community that expanded across the city as we know it today, and without their bravery and commitment, who knows if Los Angeles would even be on the map today?

Sleeping Beauty Syndrome And How It Takes Over Your Life

Just like Princess Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale or Rip Van Winkle in the Washington Irving short story, some people have a medical condition that causes them to sleep for extended periods of time, much longer than the typical teenager on summer break. For the rare few who suffer from Sleeping Beauty syndrome, the common name for Kleine-Levin syndrome or KLS, the condition is more like a nightmare than a fairy tale. The prolonged sleep interferes with their school, work, social life, and relationships, leaving them almost totally dependent on others.

AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM - Aaron Russo

Viewing for the Labor Day weekend:

The true enemies of liberty and all modern societies and people are the central bank counterfeiters. The largest counterfeiter in the history of the world consists of the Federal Reserve banking scheme, which counterfeits American dollars through fiat currency and fractional reserve banking.

America Freedom to Fascism exposes the fraud and deceit of the Federal Reserve Banks (Fed), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the 16th Amendment, the income tax, the Federal Reserve System, national ID cards (REAL ID Act), human-implanted RFID tags (Spychips), Diebold electronic voting machines, New World Order (globalization), Big Brother, taser weapons abuse, and the use of terrorism by government as a means to diminish the citizens' rights.

Since 9/11, the Government’s Answer to Every Problem Has Been More Government

Every crisis—manufactured or otherwise—since the nation’s early beginnings has become a make-work opportunity for the government to expand its reach and its power at taxpayer expense while limiting our freedoms at every turn.

23 Years Later: The Oklahoma City Bombing Story You Were Never Told About

Terry was a few blocks away from Timothy McVeigh and the now infamous Ryder truck-which was brimming with explosives-when it detonated and erased the lives of 168 people, including 19 children. Yeakey rushed to the blast site, and without regard for his own life, began pulling people from the rubble one by one.

Instead of being showered with accolades by his government for his heroic efforts, Terrance was silenced for what he witnessed in the direct aftermath of one of largest mass murders that the United States has ever seen.

No one is quite sure what Terry actually observed at the Murrah building that April morning, but according to all indications, whatever it was he witnessed did not sync up with the official narrative released by the United States government.

The First African-American to Hold a Patent Invented ‘Dry Scouring’

The next time you pick up your clothes at the dry cleaner, send a thank you to the memory of Thomas Jennings. Jennings invented a process called ‘dry scouring,’ a forerunner of modern dry cleaning. He patented the process in 1821, making him likely the first black person in America to receive a patent.

America’s always had black inventors – even when the patent system explicitly excluded them

America has long been the land of innovation. More than 13,000 years ago, the Clovis people created what many call the “first American invention” – a stone tool used primarily to hunt large game. This spirit of American creativity has persisted through the millennia, through the first American patent granted in 1641 and on to today.

One group of prolific innovators, however, has been largely ignored by history: black inventors born or forced into American slavery. Though U.S. patent law was created with color-blind language to foster innovation, the patent system consistently excluded these inventors from recognition.

As a law professor and a licensed patent attorney, I understand both the importance of protecting inventions and the negative impact of being unable to use the law to do so. But despite patents being largely out of reach to them throughout early U.S. history, both slaves and free African-Americans did invent and innovate.

8 Black Inventors Who Made Daily Life Easier

Most people have heard about famous inventions like the light bulb, the cotton gin and the iPhone. But there are countless other, often overlooked inventions that make our daily lives easier. Among the creative innovators behind these devices are African-American inventors. From the traffic light to the ironing board, see a list of products that have sprung from the minds of black inventors.

INVENTIONS MADE BY BLACK SLAVES DENIED PATENTS

Shontavia Johnson, a lawyer and professor of Intellectual Property Law at Drake University, wrote an eye-opening piece on the history of African American slaves being denied (or having outright stolen), patents for their inventions.

Johnson writes, “One group of prolific innovators, however, has been largely ignored by history: black inventors born or forced into American slavery. Though U.S. patent law was created with color-blind language to foster innovation, the patent system consistently excluded these inventors from recognition.”

She explains that the patent system–which started officially in 1787–was not open to African Americans born into slavery as they weren’t considered citizens.

That barrier didn’t stop African Americans from inventing and their patents from being exploited. According to Johnson’s research, owners often took credit for slave inventions.

Here are a few examples of African American inventions during the time of slavery that Johnson cites:

14 Black Inventors You Probably Didn’t Know About

Many people have read the story of how George Washington Carver invented peanut butter. Others are familiar with the story of Sarah Breedlove, aka Madam C. J. Walker, the inventor of beauty products and the first woman to become a self-made millionaire in America. And thanks to the Academy Award nominated film, Hidden Figures, we’re now all familiar with the amazing contributions of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson.
But, did you know that many of the products we use every day were created by black people? Here’s a list of 14 of them that, until now, you probably didn’t know about.

Why the state seeks to abolish both tradition and history

Today our society is wracked by germinal totalitarians eager to destroy history. Ostensibly this is in the name of justice, but this destruction and historical desecration are little more than a tactic for securing power for themselves. America is supposedly infected on the genetic level with unforgivable sins of racism and oppression and those seeking to destroy history conveniently have the solution: hand over power to them to facilitate our collective reeducation and penance. By failing to recognize the important role that tradition serves by preserving historical consciousness we aid and abet the rise of the forces currently seeking the complete overthrow of our society and the complete annihilation of our traditional rights and liberties.

What Happened To Aaron Burr After He Shot Alexander Hamilton?

Even if you haven't seen the smash Broadway musical Hamilton, you probably know that Alexander Hamilton, one of America's founding fathers and the first secretary of the treasury, was killed in a duel by then–Vice President Aaron Burr, back when it wasn't uncommon for gentlemen to settle their differences with pistols. We know what happened to Hamilton after the duel, but what about Burr? How did the duel impact his life and his political career?

Kamala Harris’ ancestors owned slaves

Though the “fact-checkers” are already decrying it as “fake news,” evidence continues to pour in showing that vice presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, who is not actually black, is directly descended from one of the most notorious slave owners in Jamaican history.

Hamilton Brown, a relative of Kamala, owned so many slaves in Jamaica that there is actually a town there known as “Brown Town” that was named directly after him. Snopes says this is false, of course, but the proof is there for those who care about facts over politics.

Brown is on record as having recruited large numbers of Irish migrants to come to Jamaica to work on his massive sugar plantations after the British empire abolished slavery. And Kamala’s own father, Donald J. Harris, admitted in a piece for Jamaica Global Online entitled, “Reflections of a Jamaican Father,” that his family was very involved in the Jamaican slave trade.

California To Set Up Task Force To Examine Slavery Reparations

Authored by Rick Moran via PJMedia.com,

The California Assembly will vote before Monday on a state Senate bill that creates a task force to look at the question of slavery reparations. The measure passed the state Senate in a bipartisan vote.

This is a surprise. California was a free state when it entered the Union in 1850 as a result of the Compromise of 1850. But now we’re told there was “chattel slavery” in California.

Well… sorta.

Although California before the Civil War was officially a free state, Mitchell listed legal and judicial steps state officials took at the time to support slavery in Southern states while repressing Blacks.

But what about the fact that white people alive today had nothing to do with slavery?

Webmaster's Commentary:

That last question is a large one to me.

And then there is the question of how these reparations will be dispersed; will it simply be a check, written by the State of California, to individuals, or will it be part of a multi-disciplinary program, offering educational, literacy programs, computer literacy programs, counseling to change life-style issues which may be holding people back?!?

The second approach makes more sense to me, but will that wind up making Black Californians more angry?!? I can't tell you, but there is one thing the state of California will not do; that would be tracking how the reparations money will be spent.

Watch Joe Biden Slam 'Fatherless Predators' While Promoting 1994 Crime Bill That Targeted Blacks

The former Vice President, who insisted in May that African Americans 'ain't black' if they don't vote for him, suggested last year that 'poor kids are just as smart as white kids,' and worried in 1977 that desegregation would force his children to grow up in a 'racial jungle' - went on a tirade against minorities in 1993 while sponsoring the Democrats' 1994 crime bill, which supercharged the mass incarceration of people of color.

There's also that clip of Biden speaking fondly of his work with segregationists which his running mate Kamala Harris slammed him for during the primary debates (and later dismissed as nothing more than politics).

The Attempt To Overthrow America

Authored by Guy Millière via The Gatestone Institute.

Already in 2017, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich had worried about the sporadic riots that were breaking out, for instance, when conservative speakers were invited to speak. The United States, he said , "is in the throes of a one-sided cultural civil war.... Surrender or fight – our country is at stake."

The situation, in fact, had become "worrying" even before the results of the 2016 presidential election were known.

As we now can read in the report by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, the senior levels of government during the Obama Administration were colluding to prevent President Trump from winning the election, and then, after it, to frame him in an attempted coup d'état.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this country yields to "mobocracy", and the rule of law no longer exists, we can expect to see an economic and social breakdown in this country the likes of which will dwarf the effects of the Great Depression in the 30s.

Sweden's Conservatives Warn Surging Violent Crime Has Become A "Second Pandemic"

As the shooting of a man in Portland last night intensifies Americans' fears about mounting violent crime and the increasingly out of control "protest movement" spawned by the killing of George Floyd, the Financial Times has chosen to write a story about Sweden that could offer some insight into the mindset of the American "silent majority".

Now that Sweden has successfully beaten back its coronavirus outbreak, politicians in the country are pivoting to focus on a new issue that has emerged in the aftermath of the economic destruction wrought by the global outbreak. Even though Sweden never locked down its economy, it suffered an even larger economic contraction than its Nordic neighbors.

This, combined with years of heightened migration fueled by crises in the Middle East and Africa, has continued to fuel growth in crime across stodgy Sweden.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though Sweden's experiments in "cultural enrichment" are working just splendidly (if one loves mayhem, looting, burning businesses, and chaos, that is).

Robert Johnson: The Most Important Bluesman Of All Time Who 'Sold His Soul To The Devil'

Robert Johnson is easily the most important blues artist of all time. The influence of his simple guitar lines and somber howl can still be heard in music today, but separating Johnson's life from the myth that surrounds him isn't a simple task. Leaving us at the age of 27 with only 29 songs, Johnson's genius is distinctly tied to the Delta blues scene of the 1930s. It's been claimed that he sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads to gain his legendary guitar skills, but that couldn't have actually happened ... right?
